Payment Plan
ACC's payment plan is a great option to spread out the cost of college, and this option is available for selected course sections within Continuing Education. Before setting up a payment plan it is important that you verify your course / program eligibility as well as your payment due dates.
Notice: A payment plan must be established the same day that you register for your class.
Setup A Payment PlanTexas Public Education Grant
The Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG) is available for certain Continuing Education workforce courses and programs. This financial aid option, if approved, covers tuition and fees for desired courses. You can view a list of available programs that fall under the Texas Public Education Grant here:
Applications for the next school year (September - August) typically begin in March for the upcoming semesters. Please note that TPEG Grants are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
TPEG Application StepsWorkforce Solutions
Workforce Solutions Capital Area (located within Travis County) and Rural Capital Area (located in the counties surrounding Travis County) offer financial assistance to eligible individuals for job search assistance, training, and other support services through funding from the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program. WIA is a no-cost employment program designed to give job seekers the support and/or skills training they need to find a job. Capital Area and Rural Capital Area Workforce Solutions target funding under the WIA program toward training for high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand occupations in Central Texas. See below for a list of the targeted occupations for each area.

Vocational Rehabilitation
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) serves adults with disabilities when the disability is a substantial barrier to employment and VR services are required to achieve employment. Available services include vocational evaluations, counseling and guidance, training and education assistance, assistive technology and more. Supported employment services are available for consumers needing ongoing assistance, as well as referral to our Business Enterprises of Texas Program and Criss Cole Rehabilitation Center.
View Program OverviewPrivate Educational Loans
A private educational loan (provided by banks or other non-educational organizations) can assist you with Continuing Education (CE) program charges. These loans are based on a borrower's creditworthiness and must be repaid, with interest, to the lender.
Due to restrictions placed on colleges by federal regulations, students must research their private educational loan options independently. ACC does not maintain a preferred lender arrangement and cannot recommend nor provide information about private educational loans or lenders.
The steps to getting a private educational loan for your CE charges:
- Contact the lender of your choice to apply for their loan.
- Two days after the lender has approved the loan, contact the ACC Financial Aid Office and let them know that the lender has approved you to use a private educational loan to pay for your CE course(s).
- Financial Aid will certify the loan amount, as appropriate, and your status as an eligible student back to the lender.
Note: For CE programs, private educational loan amounts will be certified ONLY for the amount the College charges you for your CE course(s). - When it's time, the lender will send your loan funds directly to the Financial Aid Office.
- Financial Aid will apply your loan funds to pay your CE charges. While you wait for the lender to send your funds to ACC, the Financial Aid Office will shelter you from being dropped for non-payment.
Private educational loan disclosures required by the Truth in Lending Act can be found under Section 128 (e) of the Truth in Lending Act 15 U.S.C 1638(e).

Grant Funds
Funding via Texas Workforce Commission may be available to cover the cost of training employees for job skills through ACC's Corporate Training Solutions. Customized training is critical for maintaining the strength of Texas businesses and industry as they strive to remain competitive in a global economy. To support business partners as they achieve this through skills-funded training, the grants emphasize highly technical training curricula, according to the participating business partner's industry. The training, conducted by the college's Corporate Training Solutions, allows for improved employee performance, retention, and advancement.
Two programs are offered by TWC: Skills Development Fund and Skills for Small Business.
Skills Development Funds
For the next two fiscal years (September 1, 2013 - August 31, 2015), TWC has $48 million in Skills Development Funds to support high quality, customized job training projects across the state. Grants for a single business may be limited to $500,000. Under the Skills Development Fund program, businesses gain a more highly trained workforce, workers upgrade their skills, and the Texas economy is strengthened. (more info)
Skills Development Fund Training includes:
- Tailored curriculum
- Classes conducted at the employer's site or at the college
- Flexible class schedules to minimize impact to employers
- Addressing company needs in real time with real situations
Skills for Small Business
Up to $2 million from the Skills Development Fund is dedicated to the backbone of Texas' business community - our small employers. Small businesses can apply to TWC for training offered by their local community college. TWC processes the applications and works with the college to fund the specific courses selected by businesses for their employees.
This exceptional opportunity supports businesses with fewer than 100 employees, and emphasizes training for new workers, though it also may help upgrade the skills of incumbent workers. This program pays up to $1,800 for each new employee being trained and $900 for existing employees, per 12-month period. All at no cost to the business!
