Course Description
A study of the techniques for conducting physical fitness assessments including tests of cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, joint flexibility, body composition, and pulmonary capacity. Topics include an introduction to electrocardiography and equipment use and maintenance. Emphasis on safety guidelines and precautions. Integrated with college credit FITT 1401. TThe following course is integrated with the Exercise Science program. This course is designed to offer instruction for individuals interested in entering the workforce as a fitness professional and can be used in pursuit of the Fitness Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer certificates or assist in preparing for national certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer.
