Course Description

A study of the components of weight control, smoking cessation, stress management, and other current trends. Topics include techniques in behavior modification, motivation, teaching, and counseling. Integrated with college credit FITT 2301. The following course is integrated with the Exercise Science program. This course is designed to offer instruction for individuals interested in entering the workforce as a fitness professional and can be used in pursuit of the Fitness Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer certificates or assist in preparing for national certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer.
