Course Description

This introductory course is designed for students with little or no prior experience in French who wish to begin communicating in everyday situations. The course emphasizes spoken interaction, pronunciation, and the foundations of French structure, such as gender, verb conjugation, and sentence formation. With guided practice, listening activities, and structured exercises, students will develop the ability to understand and produce simple spoken French while building a clear understanding of how the language works.The class focuses on essential communication, and by the end students will be able to function in common situations, in French.
