Austin Community College's Continuing Education Devision has partnered with American Youthworks to bring workforce training programs to American Youthworks participants. We are very excited about this program, and are currently offering training in the following two areas.

  • Intro to Automotive Technology
  • Basic and Intermediate Arc Welding

American Youthworks student who are participating in the Casa Verde Builders program receive half-day of GED preparation and half-day on site earning Americorps hours. On Fridays, students attend the Continuing Education workforce development classes in the area of their choice. Upon completion, students should have earned the GED, Americorps hours, several industry recognized certifications in the field of construction, basic training in either the area of Automotive or Welding, and ACC CE credits that may transfer to ACC college credit.
