An experiential and theoretical approach to Laban Movement Analysis at an advanced level, including study of Laban's scales, effort graphs, phrasing and relationships.

Introduction to WWW Authoring, HTML, and CSS

This course will focus on the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the creation of a home page. Web browsers, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are discussed. Students get hands-on experience building simple web pages with hypertext links, graphics, and CSS. Includes an overview of techniques that enhance and facilitate page creation. Suggested prerequisites: familiarity with computers and browsing the internet.
Fundamentals of a Chinese martial art form emphasizing health and self-defense (non-contact). It involves slow movements that resemble various animals in motion. Designed for low-intermediate level ESOL students, this course emphasizes speaking and listening to American English. It emphasizes the development of better listening skills by listening to real-life conversations and short academic talks. Students practice speaking through paired and small group activities. There is a continued focus on correct pronunciation with the goal of helping reduce accents that interfere with communication. This course may be repeated for up to 6 hours of credit.
