Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2019 (Self-Guided)

Course Description
This online, self-paced course will introduce you to Microsoft Excel 2019 and teach you basic Excel skills. Learn how to create a spreadsheet using several time-saving functions, how to work with numbers, names, dates, or other important data, how to use macros and buttons, and how to sort and analyze your data. By course completion, you will know how to best organize large sets of data into a spreadsheet with this powerful business productivity tool.
Writing 4

Course Description
In this course, students will learn to use standard English grammar in writing developed academic compositions. Students work on developing more sophisticated sentences and using them in their writing. Students are exposed to the modes of comparison/contrast, argument/persuasion, academic research and documentation, and cause/effect. This course is designed to further prepare ESOL student to handle the writing tasks they will encounter in college-credit level courses and the workplace. Integrated with credit ESOL-0374. To register for Writing 4 (COMX 4074) you must have (1) a passing grade of C or higher in Writing 3 (COMX 4073) or placement into Writing 4 (COMX 4074) on the ESOL assessment test and (2) a passing grade of C or higher in Grammar 3 (COMX 4097) or placement into Grammar 4 (COMX 4098) or higher on the ESOL assessment test.
Firefighting Strategies and Tactics I

Course Description
Analysis of the nature of fire problems and selection of initial strategies and tactics including an in-depth study of efficient and effective use of manpower and equipment to mitigate the emergency. Combined with credit FIRT-2309.
Floral Design IV: Business Principles and Sympathy

Course Description
Students in this course will learn sympathy designs such as casket sprays and easel pieces. This class also covers the business of floristry.
Writing with AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Course Description
This course will introduce students to writing with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Course topics will include instructional and generative AI, problem-solving processes, ethical considerations, and project management. Combined with credit ETWR-1371.

Basics of Musical Theatre Dance

Course Description
Calling all singing actors who move (but-please-don’t-make-me-do-the-dance-audition)! This class will help get both of your left feet moving in the right direction on the foundation of basic steps used frequently in musicals. You will learn to combine the steps into combinations to help you move with fluidity and greater confidence. You’ll be armed with several strategies for memorizing combinations and for coordinating song, character choices, rhythm, and movement. In six weeks you’ll feel ready to take those steps you’ve learned and say “heck yes” to that next dance call.
