Business Communications for Non-Native Speakers

Course Description
Business Communications for Non-Native Speakers is a communications course for non-native speakers of English. The course occurs in a simulated office setting in which students become fellow employees of a small business specializing in consulting. Using a "hands-on" approach, students work through various business procedures, such as conducting meetings and taking minutes, creating press releases, writing white papers, and showcasing new products. This course presents business grammar and vocabulary to non-native speakers and requires students to apply this knowledge to reading, writing, and speaking the language of business English. Integrated with credit ESOL-0392.

Learn to use the word processor. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to add, move through, and edit text, move words from one part of your document to another, work on two or more documents simultaneously, change the size or appearance of text, change margins and tab settings, automatically center, right align, justify, and indent text; run the integrated grammar and spelling checker; use the thesaurus; save, retrieve, copy, organize, and print your documents.
Dental Science

Course Description
An introduction to anatomical systems with emphasis placed on head and neck anatomy. The supporting oral structures, embryology of the teeth, and tooth nomenclature are covered. Topics include the physiology and morphology of the deciduous and the permanent teeth along with basic dental terminology. This is the first course in the Dental Assisting Program. Admission to the Dental Assisting Program is required for registration.
