Course Description

100% HANDS-ON QUICK-START experience applying the HOTTEST cyber security concepts using the NEWEST 2016 TECHNIQUES during system build progressing from scratch to properly secured. LEARN TO PERFORM the functions others only talk about. LEARN the OBSOLETE OUTDATED TECHNIQUES STILL PRESENT THAT YOU MUST REMOVE to improve security. With expert instructor guidance, Each student will participate in building their own Secure Server in-corporating current security techniques covering actual implementation of NIST 800-53 server controls, Security Control Automation (SCAP), OWASP and Common Vulnerabil-ity database (CVE). Course covers A-Z sequence during the server build for separation of duties, securing programs, configuring internal firewalls using firewalled and Web Applica-tion Firewall (WAF), setup host Intrusion Detection, system Auditing and Emergency Alerting. Learn latest use of encryption including setup of your own Certificate Authority (CA) then installing certificates to configure secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) ac-cess. Followed by system continuous status monitoring. It’s a great Quick-Start oppor-tunity to apply current 2016 cyber security techniques with enough time for lunch and break.
