A short conversational course for intermediate to advanced student, to assist them in conducting conversations in Spanish, as well as understanding articles written in Spanish. This course continues to introduce new advanced grammar topics in order for the student to master conversation skills.
The fundamentals of badminton strokes, forehand, backhand, serve and volley as well as game scoring, positioning, and etiquette for the beginning player with an emphasis on lifetime activity. Integrated with credit KINE-1148.
Continuation of GERM 1411 with more advanced conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture. This course fosters deeper understanding of German-speaking people through cultural comparison and development of written and spoken communication. Students must have completed a first semester college German course of at least four semester hours with a grade of C or better, or have equivalent credit by examination.
The use of specialized software and use of adaptive hardware is included in this class. Vocational technology use includes keyboard use, data entry, and transcription accuracy. System and application software skills appropriate for each student are selected during the admissions interview. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Provides training in the specific techniques necessary for ensemble performance. Emphasizes both ensemble and solo playing. Repertoire varies according to emphasis. Combined with credit MUEN-2133.
Pre-requisites: All program classes completed with a passing grade of “C” or above, immunizations, CPR, First Aid uploaded, background and drug screen obtained through Castlebranch. One hundred, sixty hours in a physician's office or clinic, integrating knowledge and skills into a workplace environment. Coordinator overview/preceptor supervision.
General Botany for Landscape Design & Horticulture
An introduction to basic botany as it directly relates to horticulture and landscaping. This course will cover the fundamentals of plant biology, plant growth, plant development, plant anatomy, photosynthesis, respiration/transpiration, and a range of factors that can affect plant development in a cultivated environment.
*This class is taught asynchronously, which means there are no set meeting times and the students are able to complete the lessons and activities at their own pace through Blackboard. However, live sessions will be held as needed. The information will be posted to Blackboard Announcements.
