Taught by a native speaker, students in this class will expand on what they have learned in Conversational Italian I. This course will help students develop better listening to real conversations, practice in speaking, and focus on correct pronunciation. Prerequisite: Conversational Italian I. Students will learn to draw jewelry objects for the purpose of jewelry design, technical layout, and as a tool for the communication of jewelry designs. Combined with credit JLRY-1472.
This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion , and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.

An introduction to the use of computer aided design software for jewelry to create solid models and tangible objects via STL file export to a computer numerical control prototyping system. Emphasis is placed on drawing set-up; creating and modifying geometry; storing and retrieving files, manipulating objects, using layers, and creating renderings. Basic casting skills, stone-setting skills, and computer experience are recommended for this course. Combined with credit JLRY-1471.
