Students will address current skills, knowledge and/or new technology pertinent to the Jewelry industry in areas of special interest with the approval of the instructor. The emphasis will be on advanced techniques and methods of jewelry making and surface embellishment that will further the student's knowledge of jewelry design and creation. Prerequisite: JLRY-1001. This course covers networking architecture, structure, security, and functions; introduces the principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations to provide a foundation for the curriculum. These components facilitate the connection of users, devices, applications, and data through the internet and across modern computer networks. Suggested prerequisite: A good level of understanding of computing and operating systems.
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for various holidays, including Valentine's Day and Christmas, and how to modify designs for everyday occasions.
This course is designed to build math skills for life and work. Students explore business math in a supportive environment. Students will learn basic accounting skills, functional academics as well as retail mathematics. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
