A study of word origin and structure through the introduction of prefixes, suffixes, root words, plurals, abbreviations and symbols, surgical procedures, medical specialties, and diagnostic procedures.
This course provides an overview of principles and applications in gerontology through a multidisciplinary approach. Current research findings and key concepts are discussed within and assessed throughout this course to examine common issues in special populations. Through this course, students will be able to comprehend knowledge of future clientele in a gerontological setting.
A continuation of Massage Therapy Fundamentals I. Emphasizes specialized techniques and assessment of client needs to identify a specific plan of care. Completes the requirements for Massage Techniques for licensure. Prerequisite: MSSG 1011/1411: Massage Therapy Fundamentals I Instruction in the theory and the skills necessary to perform the Clinical Massage Therapy to a varying population using a variety of clinical skills to meet TDLR requirements for licensure as a Massage Therapist Prerequisite; MSSG-1011, MSSG-1013.
Study of fundamentals of Arabic: conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture. This course fosters understanding of Arabic-speaking people through cultural comparison and development of written and spoken communication. Integrated with credit ARAB-1411. Provides training in the specific techniques necessary for ensemble performance. Emphasizes both ensemble and solo playing. Repertoire varies according to emphasis. Three hours of rehearsal required per week. Integrated with credit MUEN-1132.
This course provides job search preparation and strategies for students seeking employment in IT-related fields and industries. This free learning experience teaches specialized strategies to prepare job seekers for internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level or advanced technical positions. Students gain access to one-on-one job search support and will utilize leading-edge technologies including YouScience, Handshake, JobScan, BigInterview, and ChatGPT to create, optimize, and prepare materials for a successful job search.
