Beginning Sketching and Drawing

Course Description
This course is a continuation of the Introduction to Sketching and Drawing course. Students will continue learning how to sketch objects and incorporate backgrounds. Techniques using pencil and color pencil will be explored using loose gestural techniques and transitioning to more complex drawings. Proportion using sighting techniques will be applied. Perspective will be utilized to give the illusion of space and depth. Shading and use of highlights will be applied to capture reflections in glass and metal objects. Color will be incorporated for local or symbolic use. NOTE: Students are encouraged to take the Introduction to Sketching and Drawing course prior to this course, but NOT required in order to take this course.
Dance Composition - Choreography

Course Description
This course is an examination of the principles of movement generation, phrasing, choreographic structure and motif manipulation. Integration of choreographic principles will foster the growth of personal artistic style. Integrated with credit DANC-1301. Learn how to create multimedia presentations for just about any audience. Create and display slides filled with formatted text, video, audio, animation, special effects, charts, outlines, video clips, images, and links to the Web. Work with task panes and the clip organizer, use the Design Gallery Live and Template Gallery Web sites; save your presentations in HTML so they can be shared with others over the Web. Also, learn how to use some of the features exclusive to PowerPoint 2003, including the PowerPoint Viewer, the Package-for-CD feature, and the Reference task pane.
