Dance Composition - Improvisation

Course Description
This introductory course in improvisation will investigate spontaneous problem solving as a means of generating movement for dance composition. Students will be called upon to explore and respond to various forms of stimuli in a safe and supportive learning environment within solo and group work. Integrated with credit DANC-1201. Course Description
This course is designed to introduce students to the different forms of writing styles within business and the importance of planning, writing, revising, and editing business messages. Students seeking this course should be able to demonstrate fundamental computer skills and working knowledge of all Microsoft 2013 applications, and demonstrate knowledge of basic parts of speech and punctuation. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Conversational Spanish I

An introduction to the study of the Spanish language with instruction structured to promote the development of speaking and listening skills for direct application within business and personal settings. Offered within a relaxed and enjoyable environment, and conducted in English and Spanish, the instruction focuses on the development of vocabulary, pronunciation skills, basic sentence patterns, and overview of Latin culture.

This course is an overview of applicable regulatory standards and best practices related to aseptic technique in the education, training, and
management of personnel in the sterile compounding environment. The course will provide an update of USP<797>; and related standards, as well as the policies and procedures for conducting ACPE accredited continuing education. This train-the-trainer course will educate and train
pharmacists and technicians in requirements related to the sterile compounding environment, personnel training and conduct, environmental and
personnel competency testing, regulatory compliance, and documentation. This course will provide the framework necessary for the learner to
teach sterile compounding and aseptic technique (SCAT) to pharmacists and technicians in a variety of practice settings, using the Austin
Community College ACPE Accredited SCAT course, PHRA 1091 (48 hours, 4.8 CEUs) or PHRA 1045 (64 hours, 6.4 CEUs). This course

Shakespeare's Verse

Course Description
This class is for the actor interested in unveiling the mysteries of Shakespeare’s verse by understanding the meter, poetic forms and rhetoric Shakespeare so deftly employed. Using monologues and scene work, the students will have an opportunity to shape their character’s intentions, passions and thoughts through understanding the structure of the verse line. This class is for beginning to advanced acting students who may be new to Shakespeare. If you have a monologue you'd like to work on, bring to the first class, otherwise I will help you find one. Monologues: 1-2 minutes in length. Class size limited to 8 students.
Beginning Ballet

Conversational Japanese II

Course Description
This course builds on foundational Japanese by developing listening, speaking, vocabulary, basic grammar, and cultural understanding. Emphasis is placed on practical communication for everyday situations and forming simple, complete sentences. Conversational Japanese I is recommended but not required; students with basic prior knowledge of Japanese may enroll.
