This course includes a variety of exercises focusing on increasing cardio-respiratory endurance as well as improving muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and body composition. Movements set to music may include interval and circuit training, high and/or low impact movements, body sculpting, slide, cardio-dance, step aerobics and boot-camp style training. Veterinary terminology will also be included, with an introduction to word parts, directional terminology, and analysis of common veterinary terms. Computer and internet access required for online quizzes and testing.
Fundamentals of energy and non-energy producing nutrients and their sources and functions. Integration of concepts including digestion, absorption, and metabolism with application to normal and therapeutic nutritional needs.
