A study of choosing the right attorney, organizing the business structure, and creating the right entity to match the intended business goal, naming the business, contracting (includes commercial transactions, sale/purchase/employment agreements, and leases), learning about employees versus independent contractors, obtaining permits, and paying taxes. Includes implications of the Texas Deceptive Practices Act to small business as well as ADA and federal employment laws.

A course in the management of the pediatric patient experiencing difficulties in medical and/or trauma related emergencies. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for PALS provider course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an AHA PALS Provider card. Course materials will be mailed to registered participants a minimum of one week prior to course. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class day. Lunch is not provided. Approved for 16 nursing and TDH-P contact hours. Prerequisite: Knowledge and skills associated with basic CPR. Choosing the best exposure setting to get the desired result. Participants will learn and use exposure settings, editing, and storage on a newer iPhone to create great photographs. Additionally, this course will explore intentionality and audience when making photos.
