| SWIFT for IT Professionals is designed to help students build a solid foundation in programming concepts using the Swift programming language. With these concepts, students will gain the practical knowledge required to develop their own Apple iOS applications. The course introduces the iOS development tools, basic programming concepts using Swift, and the user interface design principles/tools. Building on this foundation, the student will follow a step-by-step curriculum, work through practical exercises, and create an app of their own design. Students will need to bring a memory stick. Suggested prerequisite: ITSE 1002 Introduction to Swift or prior object oriented programming experience. If you are registering for a Distance Learning section, students must have access to a Mac running a recent version of Xcode and a browser supporting Blackboard Collaborate. Instructions for downloading the course content and practice material will be provided the first day of class. | |
