This course enables business analysts to work with organization leadership on their strategies, identify potential solutions to business needs, and elicit the requirements for those solutions. Business analysts learn to establish the scope of a solution, identify stakeholders, elicit requirements, and document the appropriate types of requirements for an organization change initiative or a project. Participants learn a range of elicitation techniques to gather requirements, using a requirements framework to identify and relate the different types of requirements needed for a solution. They practice common strategy analysis and requirements elicitation techniques in class and in homework, using those most prevalent in the industry today. All books and materials are included in the fees. SUGGESTED PREREQUISITES: Those taking the course must have at least a year’s experience as a development project team member, preferably working on project requirements for systems, processes, or building or infrastructure construction. This enables class members to have a common baseline of experience on which to develop their business analysis skills.
