| Develop basic proficiency in application development using Swift, Apple's powerful and intuitive programming language. The class provides an introduction to computer programming, including application design, architecture, implementation, debugging, and documentation. It is recommended for students who want to acquire or enhance app development skills with a primer to the Swift language. Introduction to Swift was developed for students to get practical experience with the tools, techniques, and concepts needed to build a basic iOS app. It will be helpful if you have some prior experience using an Apple Mac computer. However, you can develop this experience with practice while you attend the course. If you are registering for an on-line (synchronous) Distance Learning section, students must have access to a Mac running a recent version of Xcode, a browser supporting Blackboard Collaborate, and a stable internet connection. Instructions for downloading the course content and practice materials will be provided the first day of class. | |
