| A continuation of the study of the requirements for the Child Development Associate National Credential (CDA). Three of the 13 functional areas of study include family, program management, and professionalism. Note: Requires 64 hours of lab participation. Students must be currently working directly with a group of young children in the birth-5 years range in a child care setting. If you are a director and interested in CDA, but are not working with a group of young children, please contact the Child Care and Development Department at (512) 223-5217. Requisites: Minimum grade C in CDEC 1417 or departmental approval. - Must be completed prior to taking this course. Integrated with credit CDEC-2424.
