| SAMA offers tools to provide verbal crisis intervention and benign techniques for physical safety in a step-by-step process that focuses on maintaining respect and dignity to both student and instructional aide/paraeducator. The 8 hour risk management course utilizes video instruction and a certified instructor to lead participants through exercises and learning activities so they can develop skills and concepts. In utilizing this format, the participant can be assured that issues critical to the care and safety of the students being served will be presented as consistently as possible.
