This course covers the latest Linux distributions, virtualization, containerization and storage technologies. Comprehensive coverage also addresses key job-related networking and security services, including FTP, NFS, Samba, Apache, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Squid, Postfix, SSH, VNC, Spice, RDP, GPG, PostgreSQL and iptables/firewalld. Hands-on projects give you practice using both modern Linux distributions (Fedora 28 and Ubuntu Server 18.04) and industry's legacy Linux distributions. The CompTIA® Linux+™ Powered by LPI (Exams LX0-103 and LX0-104) course, developed to cover CompTIA Powered by LPI exams and Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1 (101-500 and 102-500) exams which provides the fundamental skills and concepts that you will use on the job in any type of Linux career. Suggested prerequisite: Students should have basic computer skills courses which covers the most common usages of a computer, including a majority or all of the following: understanding the basic notions of computer manipulation; managing computer files, finding information and communicating using computers. Some Linux experience is helpful but not necessary.
