HVAC

The HVAC program has been specially designed to deliver the skills you need in a short period of time so you can enter this high growth occupation quickly. This program is 216 total hours. Basic Electricity for HVAC - Principles of electricity as required by HVAC, including proper use of test equipment, electrical circuits, and component theory and operation. Refrigeration Principles - This is an introductory course to the HVAC industry. The course will give an introduction to the refrigeration cycle, heat transfer theory, temperature/pressure relationship, refrigerant handling, refrigeration components, and safety. EPA Recovery Certification Preparation - This certification training class focuses on recovery, recycle, and reclaim of HVAC refrigerant. Instruction includes a review of EPA guidelines for refrigerant recovery and recycling during the installation, service, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems. During the last day of this class, students will take the EPA Universal Examination.

The HVAC program consist of four courses, which must be completed in the following order:

  1. CNBT-1001 Introduction to the Construction Industry
  2. HART-1001 Basic Electricity for HVAC
  3. HART-1007 Refrigeration Principles
  4. HART-1056 EPA Recovery Certification
