Susan D. Word, SPHR provides human resources solutions that help small to medium-sized businesses and government entities achieve business goals by developing targeted workforce strategies and streamlining human resources processes. She teaches the Human Resources Certification Preparation Course at Austin Community College to help experienced human resources professionals refresh on the broad bodies of knowledge of the profession and prepare for the certification exam. She has over 16 years experience in human resources management in both private and public sectors and over 15 years operations management experience which provides for a full business perspective. As a conscientious veteran she is an active volunteer with the Employer Support of Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and local and state human resources professional associations. She has a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Development Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin.
