Michele T. Hockett Cooper
Michele Hockett Cooper is thrilled to be involved with ACC's Sustainable Agriculture Entrepreneurship Program. A native to northern Montana, she has experience with a wide range of agricultural systems: from growing up on her family's large-scale wheat and cattle operation in Montana; to running a small organic garden program at a summer camp; to working with local growers in the Austin area through her involvement with Green Gate Farms and the Sustainable Food Center Farmers' Markets. Michele recently completed her Master's degree in Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies at Michigan State University, and has worked with farmers and students from Malawi to Kazakhstan. Michele is passionate about teaching and farming, and she is honored to contribute to the healthy future of our global community by sharing her expertise with ACC students.
