Richard Medel

With over 30 years of experience in the area of Information Technology management, Security and Network architect, Mr. Medel has held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the 15th Judicial Circuit of Palm Beach County, Florida. In addition, Mr. Medel held the dual position of Director of Information Technology and Regional Security Officer for Palm Beach County, Career Source.

Currently, Mr. Medel is CEO/President Virtual IT Security Virtual IT Security providing Network Penetration Testing and Forensic Investigations for Non-Profit Organizations, Private/Public, Banking, Government institutions with specific emphasis on compliance and cybersecurity incident prevention, detection, and response.

As senior instructor for a Florida based vocational technical school since 2000, Medel currently teaches Linux+ at ACC as of Fall 2021 and holds the following certification:

• CompTIA Linux+ & LPIC Linux course - Since 2004.

Mr. Medel has also held the position of Adjunct Music professor in Chicago, Illinois, at the Sherwood Music School now a part of Columbia College Chicago for 8 1/2 years having taught both Jazz and Classical guitar.
