Jeff Ferris

Jeff Ferris has been an Austin-area gardener for the past 25 years and is employed as a staff horticulturist and diagnostician at The Natural Gardener. Jeff holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from the Austin Permaculture guild and has been teaching in the ACC Horticulture and Landscape program since 2008.  He is the co-founder of Neighborhood Harvest Project, who's mission is "To promote healthy local food and sustainable living through education and community gardening in Round Rock and surrounding areas."  Neighborhood Harvest Project founded the first public community garden in Round Rock (Unity Park Community Garden) where Jeff is the Garden Maintenance Manager.  Jeff runs Wild Plum Valley Farm, a micro-farm where he practices sustainable growing techniques.
