This course introduces the student to the scope and application of data analysis. It covers data manipulation, data visualization, predictive analytics, and decision analytics tools. Understanding and working with your soil is essential to farming and ranching. Introduction to Soil is a study of the physical properties of soil including structure and texture. Topics include the origin and development of soils, the composition of soil horizon, and the interrelationship between soil fertility and plants. Emphasis will be placed on different methods for soil conservation and soil building practices in sustainable agriculture.

CompTIA Security+ Exam SY0-701 provides a basic overview of General Security Concepts, Security Architecture, Security Operations, Security Program Management & Oversight, and Threats, Vulnerabilities & Mitigations. The course builds a firm foundation for more advanced security certifications/roles. Course material is targeted toward an Information Technology (IT) professional who has networking and administrative skills in TCP/IP networks and familiarity with a networkable operating system (such as NetWare, UNIX/Linux, or Microsoft). This course enables students to begin or further a career in Cybersecurity by acquiring a foundational knowledge of security topics; prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification examination; or use Security+ as the foundation for advanced security certifications or career roles. There is a primary textbook which will be required. Suggested prerequisites: one to three years IT experience, CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications, or equivalent knowledge. This is an ONLINE course requiring a stable internet connection, and a current web browser. Audio is provided via computer or telephone line (a dial-in phone number will be available as an alternate audio connection). A computer web-camera option is preferred but not required. Enables students to synthesize knowledge, apply skills in a clinical setting, and develop experience managing workflow. In this capstone course, students integrate skills, knowledge and abilities acquired in all massage technique courses as they perform massage at an on campus practicum site. Students will be under the direct supervision is provided by a licensed massage therapy instructor on the staff at Austin Community College Locations. Designed for ESOL students at the high beginning level, this course emphasizes speaking and listening to everyday American English. There is a strong focus on understanding conversation and using correct pronunciation, including vowel and consonant sounds as well as stress and intonation. Repeatable for up to six hours of credit. Integrated with credit ESOL-0301.
Students will learn wax modeling skills to sculpt wax models for casting jewelry objects, using both subtractive (carving) methods and additive (build-up) methods. Students will create wax models to meet the specific design criteria of assigned and student-created projects. Prerequisite: JLRY-1001. Combined with credit JLRY-1476.
