Major concepts, theories, and their applications to prepare for the SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Exam. Suggested prerequisites: four years in a exempt level HR position: (HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Director); or six years in an exempt level Specialist position: (Training & Development Specialist, Benefits Specialist, Recruiting Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist); or seven years in a non-exempt HR position (HR Assistant, HR Coordinator).
A study of three-dimensional fashion design conceptualizing by draping in muslin or fashion fabric directly on the dress form. Skill development in observing grain of fabric, identifying drapable fabrics and creating designs suitable for draping. Presentation of major fashion designers and draping techniques. Development of the basic communication skills necessary to develop an effective helping relationship with clients. Topics include counseling techniques such as intake interviewing, relationship building, problem identification and resolution. Emphasis on importance of effective oral communications. Integrated with college credit SCWK 2311.

Introduction to Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

This course provides a fundamental understanding and introduction to cloud computing concepts from a business and technical perspective, including cloud concepts, services, architecture, system integration, connectivity, data center migration, administration, security, compliance and technical support and how they operate in Microsoft Azure. The course prepares students for the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification exam (AZ-900) by exploring Azure services, security, privacy, compliance, and trust, as well as Azure pricing and support. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational grasp of Azure Cloud and be prepared to dive deeper into more specific Azure services. The course is taught through e-learning via instructor-led zoom sessions and course instructions, quizzes and exams delivered through blackboard. The hands-on lab modules will be delivered through Microsoft Learn platform. No prerequisites. A book is required.
Introduction to yoga including traditional yoga postures emphasizing flexibility, breathing and relaxation techniques as well as careful attention to alignment in classical yoga poses.
