A continuation of practices and techniques used in basic computer-aided drafting emphasizing advanced dimensioning techniques, the development and use of prototype drawings, construction of pictorial drawings, construction of three dimensional drawings, interfacing 2D and 3D environments and extracting data.
Students will learn wax modeling skills to sculpt wax models for casting jewelry objects, using both subtractive (carving) methods and additive (build-up) methods. Students will create wax models to meet the specific design criteria of assigned and student-created projects. Prerequisite: JLRY-1001. Combined with credit JLRY-1476.
Practicum (or Field Experience) - Phlebotomy/Phlebotomist
Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. Integrated with college credit PLAB-1166.
Students will learn to use community resources to analyze personal career interests, values, skills and aptitudes, surveying and researching jobs with related educational requirements. Students will explore a variety of career options plus use the steps in the decision-making process to develop their own career plan. Students will volunteer in many career or job choices. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A study of the concepts and skills necessary for starting and operating a small business including planning, organizing, staffing, managing, financing, marketing, and accounting functions.
A string ensemble group that is open to any student who can qualify by audition. Emphasis is on performance of literature for small ensembles. Three hours of rehearsal required per week. Combined with credit MUEN-1134.
