Study of current office procedures including telephone skills, time management, travel and meeting arrangements, mail processing, and other duties and responsibilities in an office environment. Required textbook (e-book) is available through Blackboard at acconline.austincc.edu.

These classes are designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of web development. The fast pace and challenging mini-project will give you a taste of the full blown 24 week full stack web development bootcamp (full-bootcamp) that is offered through ACC Continuing Education. At the end of the last class, you will get an opportunity to meet the instructors of the bootcamp, and have any questions answered relating to training approaches, nature of projects you will be given, job prospects, career planning approaches etc.
This course practices the ways in which spoken English differs from written with emphasis on the strategies English speakers use to make their message very clear for listeners. Time is spent learning how English sounds that tend to challenge non-native speakers are produced, and how native speakers produce the characteristic rhythm and intonation patterns of the language. To register for Advanced American Pronunciation (COMX 4009) you must have a passing grade of C or higher in Oral Communication 2 (COMX 4002) or placement into Oral Communication 3 (COMX 4003) or higher on the ESOL assessment test.
