This course provides a foundation in a practical knowledge of blockchain. Beginning with an understanding of blockchain technology and its intended purpose, the course progresses into blockchain architecture. You will review the enterprise implementation and practical use of blockchain, such as in banking, healthcare and government applications. Throughout the course, you will also learn how blockchain evolved from its beginnings with cryptocurrencies and the role it plays in the trading, distribution, and other transactions that occur with cryptocurrency.

Advanced concepts in electronic spreadsheets. Topics address macro programming features, database functions, merging/linking spreadsheets, data file transfer, and Boolean functions. Also includes using templates, importing data, and designing macros. Suggested prerequisites: Excel Intermediate or equivalent experience.
Fashion Illustration Media provides students with skill development in fashion technical drawing with emphasis on fashion details and applications. This class provides instruction in illustrating a wide variety of clothing in various media with an emphasis on computer-aided techniques. The class will accommodate all levels of skill from beginner to advance illustrators to help them achieve a professional level of fashion technical drawing for their portfolio. Combined with credit FSHD-1346.
This class is a continuation of Guitar I. Topics will include: minor chords, strumming technique and basic music theory. This is a good opportunity to explore the guitar in a friendly, low stress environment. A guitar and pick are required; acoustic or classical guitars preferred but electric guitars are acceptable.
This course is designed to help students identify and understand the benefits of weight training and how weight training affects the body. The modern quality, and adaptability of the new smart phone is often as good as a Digital Single Lens Reflect or Mirrorless cameras. This course will cover the basics of making a photograph using your iPhone. Which includes: light and paying close attention to it. Context is nearly as important as the subject. Choosing the best exposure setting to get the desired result. Participants will learn and use exposure settings, editing, and storage on a newer iPhone to create great photographs. Additionally, this course will explore intentionality and audience when making photos.
Public Speaking is the application of communication theory and practice within the public speaking context. Emphasis is placed on speaking publicly without stress, audience analysis, speaker delivery, ethics of communication, cultural diversity, and speech organizational techniques in order to develop students' speaking abilities, as well as the ability to effectively evaluate oral presentations. Additional emphasis placed on the use of verbal and non-verbal skills to make points clear and effective.
