A survey of scientific principles, methodologies, and research as applied to exercise and physical fitness. Emphasis on physiological responses and adaptations to exercise. Topics include basic elements of kinesiology, biomechanics, motor learning, and the physical fitness industry. Integrated with college credit FITT 2313. The following course is integrated with the Exercise Science program. This course is designed to offer instruction for individuals interested in entering the workforce as a fitness professional and can be used in pursuit of the Fitness Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer certificates or assist in preparing for national certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Japanese Fine Arts: Haiku, Origami, Calligraphy, and...
This is a course on Japanese fine arts offered by the Continuing Education division at ACC. No knowledge of the Japanese language is required. The course is designed to introduce students to Japanese culture by way of its most important art forms. Students explore reading/writing haiku poems, folding origami, learning some kanji (Chinese characters), practicing calligraphy using those kanji and learning about and playing the Taiko drum in order to expand an appreciation of Japanese culture and language.

This course introduces User Experience Design to web developers. It covers basic design principles, the User-Centered Design process, fundamentals of Interface Design, and optimization methods for web graphics. Suggested prerequisite: ITNW 1059 Introduction to WWW Authoring, HTML, and CSS or equivalent experience, and ITNW 1077 Photoshop or equivalent experience or experience in a comparable image editing software such as Affinity Photo or Pixelmator.
An instructional program designed to integrate on-campus study with practical hands-on work experience.
