A study of analyzing, classifying, and recording business transactions in a manual and computerized environment. Emphasis on understanding the complete accounting cycle and preparing financial statements, and analyzing the information reflected. Required textbook: Accounting e-book is available through Blackboard at acconline.austincc.edu. Suggested prerequisites: familiarity with the PC, or Fundamentals of PC Use course.
Pre-requisites: All program classes completed with a passing grade of “C” or above, immunizations, CPR, First Aid uploaded, background and drug screen obtained through Castlebranch. One hundred, sixty hours in a physician's office or clinic, integrating knowledge and skills into a workplace environment. Coordinator overview/preceptor supervision.
In this course, students will learn to use standard English grammar in writing developed academic compositions. Students work on developing more sophisticated sentences and using them in their writing. Students are exposed to the modes of comparison/contrast, argument/persuasion, academic research and documentation, and cause/effect. This course is designed to further prepare ESOL student to handle the writing tasks they will encounter in college-credit level courses and the workplace. Integrated with credit ESOL-0374. To register for Writing 4 (COMX 4074) you must have (1) a passing grade of C or higher in Writing 3 (COMX 4073) or placement into Writing 4 (COMX 4074) on the ESOL assessment test and (2) a passing grade of C or higher in Grammar 3 (COMX 4097) or placement into Grammar 4 (COMX 4098) or higher on the ESOL assessment test.
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for weddings, including bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and ceremony and reception decorations. Floral Design Principles is suggested as a prerequisite.
This is a 16 hour course consisting of an online introduction, classroom lecture, and range training. Skills covered will include: firearm and range safety protocols, pistol nomenclature, loading and unloading, grip, stance, trigger manipulation, and firearms storage and cleaning. By completion of the course students will have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship and be able to safely and proficiently handle a pistol with confidence. No prerequisite required. Pistol and ammunition are provided. This class consists of 4 hours online training , 4 hours classroom and 8 hours of range.

This introductory course covers the basics of digital imaging, and fundamental image editing skills including resizing images, color correction, retouching, and montaging images. You'll learn techniques for non-destructive editing, animation, use Photoshop to mock up a web page design, and how to optimize web graphics. Suggested prerequisite: Familiarity with computers.
Introduction to yoga including traditional yoga postures emphasizing flexibility, breathing and relaxation techniques as well as careful attention to alignment in classical yoga poses.
