Fashion Illustration Media provides students with skill development in fashion technical drawing with emphasis on fashion details and applications. This class provides instruction in illustrating a wide variety of clothing in various media with an emphasis on computer-aided techniques. The class will accommodate all levels of skill from beginner to advance illustrators to help them achieve a professional level of fashion technical drawing for their portfolio. Improv is an indispensable asset for the actor, a great tool for development and self-discovery, and FUN! In this class, we will explore the fundamental improv skills of paying close attention and reacting honestly, the essential ingredients of compelling scene work. It's not about thinking fast or being funny! This class is open to everyone, from actors who want to upgrade their technical toolkit to people with no performance experience who want to try something a little challenging (but FUN!) in a super-supportive environment.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in TPN sterile compounding procedures. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: TPN calculations, TPN base solution and additive preparation, use/cleaning/calibration of an automated TPN compounder, etc. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. This course will cover the basics of making a photograph using your iPhone. Which includes: light and paying close attention to it. Context is nearly as important as the subject. Choosing the best exposure setting to get the desired result. Participants will learn and use exposure settings, editing, and storage on a newer iPhone to create great photographs. Additionally, this course will explore intentionality and audience when making photos.
Introduction to the theory and application of skills necessary to perform Swedish massage to meet the first minimum 125-contact-hour requirement for licensure. Online HIPAA Required. The classical Swedish massage technique, incorporating effleurage, petrissage, friction, vibration, tapotement, and joint movements are presented. Students develop a full-body routine specifically designed to increase range of motion, reduce stiffness, and stretch connective tissues in order to help their clients achieve a greater sense of relaxation.
