This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding related to pediatric preparations. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: pediatric calculations, pediatric LVP, EEC, and syringe preparations, other neonatal and/or pediatric CSPs. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course " PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. Taught by a native speaker, students in this class will expand on what they have learned in Conversational Italian I. This course will help students develop better listening to real conversations, practice in speaking, and focus on correct pronunciation. Prerequisite: Conversational Italian I. This course focuses on installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere. It combines the content of the VMware vSphere 6: Install, Configure, Manage course with advanced tasks and skills for configuring a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Upon completing this course, students can take the examinations to qualify as a VMware Certified Professional. VMware Certifications allow IT professionals to demonstrate VMware software technical expertise to employers and customers, validate their IT skills and experience in virtual infrastructure, gain an edge in the IT job market and improve earning potential. Suggested prerequisite: System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. Experience with networks and/or storage networks a plus.
This course is a continuation of Spanish I designed to increase your conversational skills in the Spanish language. Emphasis on improving pronunciation and vocabulary range through participation and dialogue to affect business and personal communication needs.

General discussion of pathologies as they relate to massage therapy. Includes universal precautions and their management in professional practice. Also covers etiology, signs, symptoms, and the physiological and psychological reactions to disease and injury. Meets the minimum 40-contact-hour requirement for licensure for Massage.
