Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA)
The Cisco CCNA certification enables IT professionals to install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks. The following three (3) courses need to be taken in order, one at a time, completing one before starting the next course in the order shown below:
- ITCC-1014 - CCNAv7: Introduction to Networks
- ITCC-1044 - CCNAv7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
- ITCC-2020 - CCNAv7: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation
Once you complete the Cisco CCNA courses you may enroll in the following:
- ITSY-2000 - Cisco CyberOps Associate (CA)
Course Prerequisites: CyberOps Associate students should have at least one of the following credentials or skills and knowledge. The prerequisite will need to be confirmed to the Coordinator before permission will be given to enroll in the course.
- CCNA v7 or Security+ Certified.
- Verifiably completed the CCNA curriculum in a Cisco accredited academy.
- IT professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Currently enrolled in or graduated with a technology degree program with basic Windows and Linux system concepts, basic understanding of computer networks and binary and hexadecimal understanding.
For the latter an entrance examination may be taken to ascertain the prerequisites are met.
