Calling all singing actors who move (but-please-don’t-make-me-do-the-dance-audition)! This class will help get both of your left feet moving in the right direction on the foundation of basic steps used frequently in musicals. You will learn to combine the steps into combinations to help you move with fluidity and greater confidence. You’ll be armed with several strategies for memorizing combinations and for coordinating song, character choices, rhythm, and movement. In six weeks you’ll feel ready to take those steps you’ve learned and say “heck yes” to that next dance call.
A study of the components of weight control, smoking cessation, stress management, and other current trends. Topics include techniques in behavior modification, motivation, teaching, and counseling. Integrated with college credit FITT 2301. The following course is integrated with the Exercise Science program. This course is designed to offer instruction for individuals interested in entering the workforce as a fitness professional and can be used in pursuit of the Fitness Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer certificates or assist in preparing for national certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Tap into your creative side and discover how fun and easy it is to construct beautiful works of art with mosaics. Students will learn the basics of glass mosaics including cutting, layout/design, affixing the materials, grouting, and finishing in this introductory hands-on class. Each student will complete one project. No previous experience is required. All tools, materials, and necessary equipment will be provided.
Students will address current skills, knowledge and/or new technology pertinent to the Jewelry industry in areas of special interest with the approval of the instructor. The emphasis will be on advanced techniques and methods of jewelry making and surface embellishment that will further the student's knowledge of jewelry design and creation. Prerequisite: JLRY-1001. Combined with credit JLRY-1490.
Continuation of FREX-3011 with more advanced conversation, basic writing, listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and culture.
