This course is perfect for beginners looking to learn how to use the latest PowerPoint software. You will have the opportunity to create a custom presentation with content specific to your needs. By completion, you will be able to create captivating presentations and contribute to your company's business processes. Software requirements: Windows 10 operating systems. PowerPoint 2019 is not compatible with earlier Windows versions. Browser: the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible. Microsoft PowerPoint, a subscription to Office 365, or Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019.
Multimedia for Technical Communications Management
Learn to create audio-visual tutorials for technical products employing the principles of instructional design, user experience, and usability as a foundation to learn and employ audio-video applications like TechSmith, Camtasia and Adobe Captivate. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times if content varies. Combined with credit ETWR-2470. Qualifies for student health insurance.
Stained Glass Workshop (Copper Foil Technique). Learn the basics of stained glass in this introductory hands-on class. Each student will learn the skills to complete a beautiful stained glass panel, including glass cutting, grinding, soldering, and finishing following the copper foil method (derived by L. C. Tiffany). No previous experience with glass is required. All tools, materials, and necessary equipment will be provided. Four classes.
This course will provide an overview of irrigation systems appropriate for landscape and small farm usage. Topics include determining plant and landscape needs, selecting equipment and layout design, sizing components, water conservation, installation, and troubleshooting. Hands-on activities will take place when possible.
Fee for supervisors and mentors to support interns during their first year of teaching in public schools. Interns are advised, appraised, and mentored throughout the Fall semester. Skills development for professional personnel practicing in critical care units, emergency departments, and paramedic ambulances. Establishes a system of protocols for management of the patient experiencing cardiac difficulties. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for ACLS provider course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an AHA ACLS Provider card. Course materials will be mailed to registered participants a minimum of one week prior to course. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class day. Lunch is not provided. Approved for 16 nursing and TDH-P contact hours. Prerequisite: Knowledge and skills associated with basic CPR.
