Course Description

Sewing fundamental emphasizes the development of basic sewing skills used to create apparel. This course focuses of pattern, fabric selection, basic construction techniques pressing skills timesaving technologies and techniques. Learn how to use the sewing machine. Small projects will be discussed in class. Students must bring sewing machine, tape measure, scissor, and pins.

Vanessa is a professional seamstress, designer and educator with over 20 years of experience in marketing, animal welfare, teaching, consulting and creative roles. She founded Ronkita Custom Sewing and Design that provides design, consulting, production and educational services to individuals and businesses in Austin, TX.
