In this class, we will explore the fundamental improv skills of paying close attention and reacting honestly, the essential ingredients of compelling scene work. It's not about thinking fast or being funny! This class is open to everyone, from actors who want to upgrade their technical toolkit to people with no performance experience who want to try something a little challenging (but FUN!) in a super-supportive environment.
This course will examine and apply the landscape design process. Topics will include design principles and elements, site inventory and analysis, design programming, client relationship, conceptual design, form study, master plan and planting plans. Recommended prerequisite: HALT 1072 Introduction to Landscape Graphics.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a
proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in USP<800> regulations and chemotherapy sterile compounding procedures. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state- of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: chemotherapy calculations, chemo LVP, and SVP prep, etc. as well as use of biological safety cabinet, barrier isolator, and other chemotherapy compounding equipment. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a Chemotherapy Certification Course. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. An introduction to the family as a dynamic system focusing on the effects of addiction pertaining to family roles, rules, and behavior patterns. Discuss the impact of mood altering substances and behaviors and therapeutic alternatives as they relate to the family from a multicultural and transgenerational perspective.
