In this course, students will review basic verb tenses, proceed to intermediate structures, emphasizing communicative use in academic and non-academic contests. Integrated with credit ESOL-0396.
Stained Glass Workshop (Copper Foil Technique). Learn the basics of stained glass in this introductory hands-on class. Each student will learn the skills to complete a beautiful stained glass panel, including glass cutting, grinding, soldering, and finishing following the copper foil method (derived by L. C. Tiffany). No previous experience with glass is required. All tools, materials, and necessary equipment will be provided. Four classes.
Principles and procedures of administration of medications as required of the medical assistant in the physician's office or outpatient clinic with focus on administration of drugs by standard routes including the correct dosage calculations, infection control procedures, and medico-legal responsibilities. All immunizations, CPR, First Aid, must be current and background check obtained through Castlebranch prior to enrolling in this class.

These classes are designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of web development. The fast pace and challenging mini-project will give you a taste of the full blown 24 week full stack web development bootcamp (full-bootcamp) that is offered through ACC Continuing Education. At the end of the last class, you will get an opportunity to meet the instructors of the bootcamp, and have any questions answered relating to training approaches, nature of projects you will be given, job prospects, career planning approaches etc.
Students will learn to use community resources to analyze personal career interests, values, skills and aptitudes, surveying and researching jobs with related educational requirements. Students will explore a variety of career options plus use the steps in the decision-making process to develop their own career plan. Students will volunteer in many career or job choices. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This course provides novice business analysts or those wanting to enter the profession with an understanding of the foundation concepts and key techniques of business analysis. To ensure that everyone has a common understanding of how projects are performed, there is also a focus on key concepts of projects and project management. Then, through class discussions and homework, participants learn how an organization identifies the needs for changes and selects solution approaches. With exercises and discussion, they learn how requirements are elicited and analyzed, practicing some of the most common techniques that are used by business analysts. They get experience with interviews, workshops, process modeling, writing use cases and user stories, building functional requirements, and performing structured walkthroughs. Participants read and discuss the IIBA BABOK Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge as the backbone of the course. A survey of dances from different cultures, their histories, and their influences on contemporary dance and society. Cultural origins, significance, motivations and techniques will be explored experientially. No previous dance experience necessary. Integrated with credit DANC-1305.
