Whether you like to arrange flowers at home, or are interested in becoming a professional floral designer, this course will give you an introduction to the art of Floral Design. Students will learn tools, mechanics, elements, and principles of design, as well as cut flower identification, care, and handling. Students will make basic floral arrangements, which they will be able to take home.
A systems approach to managing activities associated with traffic, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, packaging, order processing, and materials handling. This is course one of a foundation two-level track that will help our participants understand and master the core competencies of material handling and its relevance in the entire supply chain/logistics function. This course is designed to introduce students to the process of communication and how it is used to effectively send messages in the workplace. Students will increase comprehension of written and verbal information. Students selecting this course should be able to demonstrate the fundamental computer skills and working knowledge of all Microsoft 2013 applications, have the verbal and social skills to present a short speech and demonstrate knowledge of basic parts of speech and punctuation. This course is geared towards supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This ensemble introduces students to the techniques and rhythms of Afro-Cuban folkloric and popular music. This music, born of African slaves transplanted to Cuba in the 17th and 18th centuries, is rich in West African history and culture. The rumba family of folkloric styles includes yambu, rumba Columbia, and guaguanco and can be traced directly to the Yoruba people in Nigeria. These traditional styles, in addition to the popular cha-cha-cha, mambo, and the mozambique are performed by the ensemble.
Introduction to Presentation Graphics Software:...
Instruction in the utilization of presentation software to produce multimedia presentations. Graphics, text, sound, animation and/or video may be used in presentation development. This course covers the required skill sets on the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) specialist level exam.
