An examination of major theories of various treatment modalities. Topics include reality therapy, psychodynamics, grief therapy, person-centered therapy, rational emotive therapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches. (R) Integrated with college credit PSYT 2339. (LCDC, SW)
Negotiating transactions. Includes preparation for negotiation, styles of negotiating, strategies for adversarial negotiations, and negotiation etiquette. Learn the strategies and tactics needed to influence others and reach long-lasting, profitable agreements. This interactive course teaches successful negotiation skills through role play and case studies from real life, giving the knowledge and experience to handle difficult conversations and communicate with people from different cultures.
In this course, students will review basic and intermediate verb tenses, and proceed to advanced structures, emphasizing communicative use in academic and non-academic contexts. Integrated with credit ESOL-0398.
This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total
estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE
statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile
compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy
technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of
pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.

The course offering includes guidance through all stages of the job search-from finding a job to negotiating a salary-and participants will gain access to JobScan, YouScience, BigInterview, and Handshake. This course is open to students, staff, alumni, and community members. There is no tuition associated with this course.
Cross-cultural comparisons of management and communications processes. Emphasizes cultural geographic distinctions and antecedents that affect individual, group, and organizational behavior. May include sociocultural demographics, economics, technology, political-legal issues, negotiations, and processes of decision making in the international cultural environment. Integrated with college credit IBUS 2341.
Stained Glass Workshop (Copper Foil Technique). Learn the basics of stained glass in this introductory hands-on class. Each student will learn the skills to complete a beautiful stained glass panel, including glass cutting, grinding, soldering, and finishing following the copper foil method (derived by L. C. Tiffany). No previous experience with glass is required. All tools, materials, and necessary equipment will be provided. Four classes.
