Gross anatomy of domestic animals including physiological explanations of how each organ system functions. Veterinary terminology will also be included, with an introduction to word parts, directional terminology, and analysis of common veterinary terms. Prerequisite: Prior to registration for this course, applicants are required to complete an online orientation and meet with the program coordinator. People gravitate to technology to solve problems. Python is a programming language that lets you work quickly to solve these problems. If you are interested in learning Python, this is the class for you. We will emphasize learning the basics of programming using Python, so you can leverage the reference book to solve real-world issues on your own upon course completion. Suggested prerequisite: General computing knowledge and a desire to learn programming with Python.
This course focuses on pattern, fabric selection, garment industry technique, pressing skills, time saving technologies and techniques. Projects will be discussed in class. Students must bring a sewing machine, tape measure, scissors, and pins.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. This course satisfies OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.151
This course is an examination of the principles of movement generation, phrasing, choreographic structure and motif manipulation. Integration of choreographic principles will foster the growth of personal artistic style. Integrated with credit DANC-1301. Introduction to the use of computer techniques for preparing landscape design renderings. Learn the various computer drawing tools, coloring techniques and inserting text. Several class projects for developing master plans and plant Libraries. Prerequisites: Intro. to Landscape Graphics HALT 1072 and Landscape Design HALT 1071. Instructor will provide a syllabus on the first day of class which will include book and/or supply info at an approximate cost of $50-$100.
