Course Description

This course is a refresher study of the Body of Knowledge for the Certified Quality Engineer. Topics include quality management techniques, auditing, project management, metrology, inspection and test, quality cost analysis, sampling, reliability and risk management, improvement techniques, human factors and motivation, quality information systems, statistical applications and methods, and design of experiments. The student will focus on the theory and application of these quality engineering skills by studying the assigned materials and taking sample exams containing questions similar to those on the actual CQE exam. These sample exams and their answers will be reviewed in class and for homework to increase the student's ability to understand as part of preparation for the certification exam.
