Learn the techniques for entering the international marketplace. Emphasis on the impact and dynamics of sociocultural, demographic, economic,
technological, and political-legal factors in the foreign trade environment. Topics include patterns of world trade, internationalization of the firm, and operating procedures of the multinational enterprise. Required textbook is available at RGC bookstore (512) 474-2607. This is a course on Japanese fine arts offered by the Continuing Education division at ACC. No knowledge of the Japanese language is required. The course is designed to introduce students to Japanese culture by way of its most important art forms. Students explore reading/writing haiku poems, folding origami, learning some kanji (Chinese characters), practicing calligraphy using those kanji and learning about and playing the Taiko drum in order to expand an appreciation of Japanese culture and language.
Ethical considerations based on social and human services standards. Includes comparison of ethical codes, confidentiality, dual relationships, guidelines for web counseling, ethical considerations dealing with broadcast media, diversity and multiculturalism. Integrated with college credit SCWK 1303.
Private coaching sessions with Adam Roberts are offered in musical theatre and contemporary vocal styles such as pop, folk, rock, etc. Coaching packages are tailored to each student’s unique goals and may include work toward preparing upcoming auditions, building a rep book, bolstering technique, expanding range, and strengthening a variety of performance skills. Coaching is available for adults from beginner through professional levels, and to advanced high school students.
Study and application of shop skills used in agricultural processes including arc welding, oxyacetylene cutting and welding, drawing and planning projects, tool maintenance, metal working, woodworking, plumbing, and concrete. Combined with credit AGME-1315.
This is an intermediate class focusing on acting for the camera. It is required that you have had at least a basic acting class before joining - such as Acting Fundamentals or equivalent. The emphasis is on camera technique as well as developing a naturalistic acting style through connection, honesty, vulnerability, and following intuitive impulses. The students’ work will be explored through exercises and scene study from film and television scripts. Some videotaping and playback will be used for critique.
